About our team
My name is Brenda Long and I began my tax journey in October of 2002 at H&R Block’s income tax course in Washington state. I worked for Block for 2 years and took a multitude of courses they offered. Initially, my thought was to help military soldiers, and their families prepare their tax returns without having to wait in line on post for hours at a time. After leaving Block and having a couple more children, I decided to get a degree in accounting and start my own business. I graduated in 2015 with my BA in accounting and had already grown my business to about 50 clients and businesses.
I have extended my tax preparation business to now include notary services, bookkeeping, state specific reporting like unemployment and workman’s compensation as well as assisting with payroll on the federal and state levels. I have taken part in multiple audits for different government entities and assisted in setting up LLC’s and non-profits as well I’m not scared to get into and try something new or do some old-fashioned detective work to figure out the truth and answer the challenging questions; when all else fails I have an amazing CPA on speed dial that has assisted me many times over the years as well as given me pointers growing my business to be successful as it is.
This year has brought huge growth: over 100 clients, an employee (and close friend) to aid in tax preparation, more businesses, and constant continuing education to stay on top of the never-ending updates and changes life continues to bring to each of us.
